COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TABLE, SPECIALTY ITEM, DISPLAY, PEDESTAL MOUNTED
1. Intended use. This commercial item description covers a pedestal mounted table that displays specialty items for sale.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
2.1 Design and construction. The specialty item display shall be pedestal mounted. The table shall consist of a flat top with rounded corners and a fiberglass molded base. The top shall be constructed of heavy duty, industrial grade particle board, 1-1/8 inch thick minimum, and be surfaced with a high pressure melamine laminate with a high pressure backing sheet, or equal, to provide strength and durability. The outer sides of the table top shall have replaceable, heavy duty, vinyl cart type bumpers mounted in aluminum trim. The pedestal base shall be constructed of a smooth surface, reinforced, molded fiberglass. The color of the table shall be beige.
2.2 Dimensions. The dimensions of the table shall be 60 inches long, 32 inches deep, and 30 inches high (+ 3 inches).
3. Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practice, and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
4. Packaging. The specialty item display table shall be packaged, packed, and marked in accordance with the domestic or overseas requirements of ASTM D 3951, as applicable.
